Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace

Foo Fighter's new album released today. All I can say after my third listen-through is "Ohhhhhhhh..."

While you're putting your shoes on to go buy your copy right now ($9.99 this week at Best Buy), click this link and be amazed at their new single's music video, "The Pretender": http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?artist=986&vid=169364

Dave Grohl, I think I love you.

Ahhh yes I agree. I just purchased the album last night at Target as a matter of fact. I have only made it to track 4 so far but I like what I hear. And I too have a man crush on Dave Grohl.

Listen to track 6, "Stranger Things Have Happened." Ridiculous.

Alright, I guess that answers my question: "Hmmm... I wonder if Ryan has ESP&G yet?" We were gonna get if for you for leading worship this week at CityChurch. I guess we'll think of something else.

Oh, and the last minute of "Let It Die" is transcendent. This is why rock music exists.

Rick, I wholeheartedly agree; transcendent is the perfect word. I wonder how many pints of blood he lost shredding the last 30 seconds of that vocal part. What's more amazing is that their albums are tame compared to what they do live. Theirs was definitely the second best concert I've been to- second only to U2's opening show of their Elevation Tour in Miami in 2000.

Looking forward to Sunday.
